Bernard l. truax, ii named 2017 temecula valley chamber of commerce citizen of the year
Temecula, CA (February 20, 2017) - Bernard L. Truax, II has been named 2017 Citizen of the Year by the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Truax, or Bernie to his friends and family, was recognized for his community efforts including the arts, youth, drug and alcohol addiction recovery, and his commitment to building community.
Bernie commented, "I dont keep track of the time, talent or treasure. I give back to civic and community organizations because I believe it is the right thing to do."
Julie Ngo, last year's recipient, presented the award. Bernie was also recognized by State of California from Senator Jeff Stone and Assemblywoman Marie Waldron, Riverside County from Supervisor Chuck Washington and the City of Temecula from Mayor Maryann Edwards.
Bernie Truax is the President and CEO of the Truax Family of Companies, Executive Director of Riverside Recovery Resources, Chairman of the Old Town Property Owners Association, Board Member of the Temecula Valley Symphony, Board Member of the Southwest Economic Development Corporation. He also volunteers his time, energy and mentorship to other non-profits and local start-ups
