TEMECULA, California, June 29, 2012 – Local commercial real estate developer Bernie L. Truax II has been in the property development game for over 40 years. His latest project, the Truax Building (www.truaxbuilding.com ), in Old Town, Temecula is his way of honoring the past by building the future. While many real estate developers build commercial office and retail space to sell once it is built, Bernie primarily builds for his family portfolio and private investors. The building will house the Truax Corporate Offices and stand as a memory of the family values taught to him by previous generations.

Another way Truax is honoring the past is with the architecture of the building. The Old Town area, which is being converted to Downtown by the City of Temecula, is an area that was passed over by developers through the years. Bernie explains that the growth of development is similar to the life cycle of a tree. Meaning you can tell how old it is by looking at the change in architecture, just like the rings of growth in a tree. Had the area been built out during the turn of the 20th century, the architecture style would have been early turn of the century, which is exactly the style of the Truax Building.
Construction of the Truax Building has already commenced with the completion date expected about this same time next year and the Truax Group (www.truaxgroup.com ) real estate brokerage is actively leasing retail and office spaces.
